“Lanes for Lupus” Bowl-a-thon
2005
|
Dear friend,
It is that time of year again, the 2nd Annual “Lanes for Lupus”
Bowl-a-thon is scheduled for Sunday April 17th, 2005. It will be
held at the Berlin Bowling Center on 1782 Berlin Turnpike,
Berlin same as last year. The event will begin at 10:00 am and
go until 4:00 pm with two sessions to sign up for.
We are looking forward to having you participate in our event
this year. We had such a terrific turnout in 2004 that this year
we have 2 scheduled bowling sessions. The first session will
start at 10:00 am and the second will start about 1:00 pm.
Please fill out the postcard, located in your bowling packet,
and mail it back to the office. Select the session that you
would prefer to bowl. Session times will be done on a first come
first served basis. Also, this year, there will only be 4 to 5
bowlers per lane. We will keep all members of large teams on
lanes close to each other. You will receive a confirmation
letter of the session you will be bowling.
There will be a $10.00 entry fee for each bowler on your team.
Please include the entry fee in your collection envelope and
hand it in the day of the event.
For each individual that raises $50.00 in donations, not
including the entry fee, will receive and event bowling shirt.
For those individuals who raise $100.00 in donations, not
including the entry fee, will receive the event bowling shirt
and a Lupus bowling towel.
102.9 DRC-FM will be on site all day with great music and fun
prizes to give away!
Last year, all our bowlers raised $9,600 for Lupus. This year
our goal is $20,000. We hope that you can help us reach our
goal. The money that is raised goes to help educate, support
those who are afflicted with Lupus as well as support local
Lupus research. Our chapter was founded in 1973. To date, we
have given over $800,000 to Lupus research to help find a cure.
You can help make a difference.
We hope you will join us again this year!
Warm regards,
Lynn Detlefsen
