We offer a 24 hour lupus telephone help line, send out messages
of cheer to our members or friends when ill and make hospital visits.

We have 4 general meetings a year with a social refreshment
hour at each meeting. We give out free literature at each meeting and we
offer support groups in different areas throughout the state. We undertake
fundraising events of various types each year to raise money for lupus research.

Our funds come from membership, fundraising activities,
and private and company donations.

Since 1974 we have awarded 87 research grants to the University
of Connecticut and Yale University Schools of Medicine totaling more then $700,000 to date.
Since 1978 we have presented an annual donations to the National LFA.

The Connecticut chapter sends representatives to the
Annual L.F.A. meetings and the CT founder is the past Vice-President
